Spirulina, or the green-blue algae, is a highly nutritious micro salt water plant commonly found in salt water and some large fresh water lakes.

This plant may truly benefit our body and immune system, and has an ability to fend off viral infections. It is also thought to improve the memory, prevent against liver cancers, lower cholesterol, treat precancerous growths inside the mouth, protect against allergic reactions, prevent heart disease, heal wounds, improve digestion, increase energy and metabolism and help manage weight.

Spirulina is rich in:

  • vegetable protein
  • Vitamin B12
  • Beta- carotene
  • minerals such as iron, potassium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus and calcium

gamma linolenic acid (omega-6 fatty acid)

Thanks to the high level of protein and Vitamin B12, spirulina is great for vegetarians and vegans.

It is available dried and you can easily add it in your morning smoothie.

So what are your waiting for? Go green with spirulina!! :)
