Superfood: Spotlight on Blueberries

What’s your favorite fruit? Mine is blueberry. This little fruit is truly super duper healthy.

Blueberries are a very good source of vitamin K, vitamin C, manganese and copper and one of the richest sources of antioxidants. They contain a type of flavonoid known as anthocyanins, which are responsible for giving them the iconic deep blue hues and contribute to their numerous health benefits.

Blueberries softens dry skin, boosts your brain, fight urinary tract infections, may even prevent cancer and lower risk of age related diseases like Alzheimer’s disease.

These fruits are low in fat and loaded with fiber, so they can help you to manage your weight.

They are also high in water content and naturally sweet, so they can satisfy sweet tooth.

You can add them to your breakfast – try my Chia seeds & Coconut & Berry Mini Pancakes or Acai Bowl or enjoy them with handful of raw nuts as a snack. And frozen blueberries are perfect for your morning smoothie!
