Blueberry smoothie

Blueberries! I just love them!

My mum always has some blueberries in a freezer just in case so today I was able to make a smoothie for me and my little brother when we needed something sweet and refreshing in the afternoon.

Blueberries are truly amazing. They are packed with antioxidants and rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, manganese and copper.

They are good for your skin and urinary tract and may even prevent cancer and lower risk of age related diseases like Alzheimer’s disease.

These fruits are low in fat and loaded with fiber, so they can satisfy your sweet tooth and help you manage your weight.

As always this smoothie is quick and easy to make. Gluten and dairy free. Yum!

Ingredients:

  • banana
  • 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • drizzle of honey (optional)

Instructions:

Blend banana, blueberries and milk together. Add honey if you have a sweet tooth. Pour the mixtures in the glass. Enjoy :).
